Christmas Markets on the Rhine
Summary
Nowhere does Christmas Markets quite like Germany. The cold, crisp air is filled with smell of sizzling sausages and sweet, freshly baked pastries while thousands of coloured lights sparkle in the low light. The brightly decorated wooden booths are filled with authentic artisanal goods, from simple Christmas tree decorations to luxurious gifts for loved ones. Enjoy a cup of warming Glühwein and succumb once again to the welcome embrace of the festive spirit.
Combine this with a gently-paced cruise on the River Rhine, on a comfortable ship with a relaxed ambience, and you have the prefect recipe for a pre-Christmas break that will live long in the memory. Our optional shore excursions offer visits to the Christmas markets of historic Heidelberg, romantic Rüdesheim and the cultural crossroads of Koblenz. On board, enjoy all-inclusive and attentive catering while watching the outside world slowly slip by.
Our ship: The MS Mona Lisa is an intimate-sized standard ship, 82m long and 9.50m wide. It can accommodate 94 passengers, in 47 cabins spread over two decks. Each of them is comfortable and spacious and provided with a variety of amenities. The décor, in cream and burgundy tones, is both elegant and cosy and pays tribute to Leonardo da Vinci’s most famous work, after which the ship is named. Located on the upper deck, the restaurant, where all meals are served during the cruise, offers delicate cuisine in a refined setting, where large bay windows allow you to fully enjoy the panorama. Located on the same deck is the lounge / bar with a dance floor.
