Scotland: Christmas in Edinburgh
Summary
Ten Hill Place Hotel is the venue for this special festive break, where each year they can’t wait to put the Christmas lights up and get the mulled wine simmering. Located in the historic Surgeons Quarter of Edinburgh’s Old Town, it’s within easy walking distance of Princes Street with its shops and Christmas Market on one hand, and Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat on the other.
We are welcomed with the aforesaid mulled wine along with mince pies and other seasonal treats before enjoying a delightful Christmas Eve dinner. A relaxed Christmas Day follows (how nice it is for someone else to be doing all the cooking and washing up!) including a four-course Christmas lunch with all the traditional trimmings and (exclusively for our guests) a light supper in the evening. On Boxing Day you can hit the shops and the sales, or alternatively join our complimentary excursion into the beautiful Border country to the south of Edinburgh, with dinner included once again back at the hotel. Our festive break concludes the following day as we return to our original departure points.
Please note you may also travel independently to and from Edinburgh and join the group at the hotel, with check-in available from 3.00pm. Extra nights before or after are available on request.
